Marcin Lewoszewski is a legal counsel trainee and an Associate in the Commercial & Regulatory Department of CMS Cameron McKenna in Warsaw. 

 

Marcin Lewoszewski specialises in personal data protection and e-commerce issues. His experience includes participating in over two hundred data protection proceedings conducted by the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data (Polish data protection authority), in the course of which he acted before administrative courts and prosecutors. Moreover, he has provided advice to pharmaceutical companies regarding the transfer of personal data beyond the European Economic Area and agreements for entrusting personal data processing. He has also advised energy sector entities on the protection of personal data processed in connection with hiring employees and has provided advice in connection with the implementation of regional projects (Central and Eastern Europe) relating to the creation of a data center by a telecommunications operator and pharmaceutical companies. He has been involved in conducting complex audits of personal data processing and in creating personal data processing documentation for the benefit of customers operating e.g. in the media, e-commerce and telecommunications markets.

 

Before joining CMS Cameron McKenna, Marcin Lewoszewski worked in the Office of the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data (Polish data protection authority), and in a law firm in Krakow, specialising in new technologies. He also has work experience in Der Bundesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit, where he became acquainted with, among other things, the Safe Harbour programme and the activities of the Article 29 Working Party.
